LUNGES

Execution

  • Lunges can be done with no weights, with dumbbells or with barbell.
  1. Stand with feet shoulder width apart.
  2. Step forward with your heel first touching the ground.
  3. Continue the motion until the knee of the leg behind is almost touching the ground and your front legs knee is at 90 degree angle.
  4. Return to your initial standing position.

Execution with weights

  • If using barbell, keep the barbell on the back of your shoulders.
  • When using dumbbells, keep them on your both hands on your sides.

  • Quadriceps muscles, gluteal muscles and hamstrings.

Tips to this exericse

  • Start easy with no weights so you that you get the "idea" how it's done, there you can add weights as much as you like.
