LEG PRESS

One type of legpress machine

Execution

  1. Adjust the leg press machine for your settings.
  2. Set the correct amount of weights.
  3. When you have done the adjustions, lift the press up and relase the weight to free movement.
  4. Start descending the press by bending your knees. Keep your lower back against the bench at all times!
  5. Descend the press until your knees almost touch your chest or to the point that you almost start to feel uncomfortable lowering more.
  6. Lift the press back up, so that your knees are almost fully extended. When doing many repetitions, try to avoid locking your knees.

  • Quadriceps, hamstrings and gluteus maximus.

Tips to this exericse

  • Position your legs up on the sled to target more on your buttocks.
  • Use more weights when the butt exercise starts to feel too easy.
